Fujinon 18-55 – The ultimate kitlens? REVIEW

In my latest review i´m taking a close look at the small and leightweight Fuji kitlens, the Fujinon 18-55 F 2.8 – F4, which i mainly bought for video because of it´s ois and the zoomrange. You will also see how good this kitlens performs on the Gudsen Moza Aircross Gimbal . Some say this is one of the best kitlenses available or even it is the ultimate kit lens, but how good is it really? Take a look at  my results in this review video! This kitlens is a lot better than i thought and for me it´s definetly a keeper. The small size and weight makes it a perfect travel zoom and since it has very good OIS built in, the variable aperture is not a big deal and you can still keep your ISO setting low. The sharpness  and image quality from 2.8 is not as good as on a Fuji prime lens of course, but the performance is still very good for a kitlens and i would definetly not regret it to only have this lens with me and not my Fuji prime lens.  The video AF-C could be better and hunts from time to time, but it´s still very usable and if you are using a gimbal like the Moza Aircross than just set it to single AF and to F8 or manual and focus set to infinity.
