Aurora HDR 2019 REVIEW

Skylum has once again sent me their amazing software Aurora HDR  before the release for reviewing it and this time its the brandnew version 2019. So..again thank you for supporting dsphotoblog.com! Make shure to watch my review video and subscribe to my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/dsphotoblog

In this version a lot of great stuff has been added under the hood like their new quantum HDR engine and the LUT support to give your  final results a very unique look. Improved HDR details and artefact-free structures are very welcome features as well.

But how does it look? Well the new Quandum HDR Engine is definetly a highlight, since it really enhances the lighting of your images and even if you only use 1 image, which is very impressive!

Aurora HDR 2019 can give you very natural looking images  IF YOU WANT, its all up to you how you want to edit your images.

My following images you can see here where taken with a Fuji X-T2 using 9 brackets, and yes these photos are edited exactly i liked them to be, incredibly detailed and epic  looking 🙂

Probably not everyone´s cup of tea, but like i said, i liked these cathedral shots to look as epic as possible and Aurora HDR 2019 is the only software which makes this possible.

ABOUT AURORA HDR 2019

Skylum’s Quantum HDR Engine harnesses the power of AI for a more streamlined editing experience than ever before. It reduces burned-out colors, loss of contrast, noise and unnatural lighting caused by halos and unstable deghosting.

The Quantum HDR Engine has taken three years to create within Skylum’s AI lab, and contains the vast knowledge of the development team paired with artificial intelligence to bring you seamless HDR editing, be it with a single image or multiple bracketed shots.

Skylum’s developers tested thousands of bracketed shots through a neural network, and used the results to develop the technology needed for creating incredible HDR photographs – whether it’s real estate, landscape, cityscape or any other type of HDR photography.

Here are the most essential changes:

  • New Quantum HDR Engine
  • LUTs support with 11 New Integrated LUTs
  • Photoshop plugins support
  • New HDR Smart Structure filter for realistic and artefact-free structure (can be found in the new HDR Enhance filter)
